While this may be difficult to fathom in places like the U.S., families of this size are still common in rural and impoverished areas in Uganda. This is the reality for fathers like Peter.

“Knowing and Doing” is a biblical foundations course for believers. There are 20 separate lessons in the course covering a wide range of core Christian beliefs. A group of almost forty participants from four denominations have been engaged in this training for the last 2 years. The participants included a number of pastors, elders, church leaders, ministry workers and the GROW agricultural trainees.

In Bolivia, Easter celebrations are very different, depending on the geographical context and the religious background of the people. The name "Easter" is not widely used. Catholics prefer to say "Holy Week" ("Semana Santa" in Spanish) and Evangelicals only celebrate "Resurrection Sunday."

Perhaps you have seen the recent news about how the Bolivian government approved legislation that could severely restrict believers' religious freedom. This caused considerable social upheaval around the nation and, in response, Bolivians held massive gatherings, marched in protest and participated in times of prayer and fasting.
