Wrapped in Love began in response to the growing number of families affected by HIV/AIDS in the YunnanProvince, China. Drugs and prostitution, although illegal, are the largest factors in spreading HIV/AIDS. Wrapped in Love trains women to make scarves who have HIV/AIDS or who's family members have HIV/AIDS. They also offer women in prostitution a chance at a different way life. Women are able to work from home making scarves, which allows them to take care of their family and to protect themselves if they have HIV/AIDS. Each week, the women are taught knitting skills, and how to read and write. They have the opportunity to make new friends, and receive new hope for their future.
